Curious what makes our honey special? Find out now.

We recently had our honey lab‑tested in Germany by Quality Services International (QSI) in Bremen — a renowned, ISO/DAkkS‑accredited food and honey testing lab. They checked for purity, origin, pesticides, antibiotics, HMF, moisture, pollen and more — using methods like NMR profiling, pollen analysis and residue testing to confirm our honey is genuine, safe, and high‑quality (qsi-q3.com).

We’ve had our honey tested by the National Food and Veterinary Risk Assessment Institute in Vilnius, Lithuania (NMVRVI) – a government-accredited laboratory responsible for food quality and safety testing.

The tests confirmed that our honey is:

  • Raw and unheated – preserving all natural enzymes and nutrients

  • Free from added sugars or syrups

  • Low in moisture – ideal for shelf life

  • High in enzyme activity – a sign of freshness

  • Low in HMF – confirming it hasn’t been heat-treated

  • Naturally sourced – pollen analysis shows a blend of wild plants and flowers

Honey Metagenomic DNA Analysis

To go beyond the usual purity checks, we sent our honey to MDA-Test (Celvia CC AS, Estonia) for a full Metagenomic DNA Analysis.

  • What the test does – scans all DNA in the honey, detecting traces of 10 000+ plant, bacterial, fungal and insect species contained in a single sample

  • Why it matters – the complete DNA profile verifies the botanical footprint of our wild-meadow honey and confirms its true Baltic origin.

This advanced test adds another layer of transparency to our routine lab work: you can see not only that the honey is pure, raw and unheated, but also which flowers the bees actually visited.
