10,000 BC: The history of honey begins approximately 10,000 years ago.

4500 BC: Egyptians domesticate bees and develop early beekeeping practices.

1500 BC: The Romans value honey for its food and medicinal properties. Mass honey trade begins, including transfers through the Amber Road from the Baltic region.

Middle Ages: Monks in Europe start beekeeping. Beeswax is used for making candles.

1850s: The first removable-frame beehive is invented, revolutionizing beekeeping and honey extraction.
